Hi All,
Thank you Louise for your blessing,
Madison had her surgery today and is now at home resting. Dr. Benson said that she was fine to go home. Her Surgery went really well. Dr. Benson said her muscles (I can even begin to try and list them all)were extremely tight. She finally got them to release and she also transfered two tendons. She said once she had done all this that she could rotate Madison's arm with ease. She was happy to see that she didn't have any shoulder deformity and thinks that Madison will gain alot of mobility and rotation from the procedure. She will have her cast on for three weeks and let me tell you, her cast is huge. It is neon pink(Madison picked the color)and looks like she is making a left hand turn on a bike. Madison was really mad when she woke up about not being able to move her arm and dedmanded that we take off the cast. We had explained to her that her arm would be in a cast but I don't think she really understood that it ment she couldn't move it. She has pretty much slept the whole time. She will wake up every once and a while and tell us to leave her alone.I will keep you all posted on her progress once she gets the cast off. I am so grateful to Dr. Benson. All the nurses at the hospital kept stating that Dr. Benson is an amazing surgeon. I am so glad my pediatrician recommended her.
