OK, this may be a stupid question but are we sleeping in tents at this camp or do they have facilities we sleep in ? I did not attend the camp 2 years ago so this is all new to me. Actually I dont even remember reading about it--so please enlighten me. I would really like to come with the family since we are so close to Lake George. Thanks a bunch

Yes, great question! No tents at this camp! We'll be housed in two lodges. One is the Bayview, and the other, The Inn. When you go to
www.silverbay.org, I believe you can see images of these lodges. We've reserved only those rooms with private bathrooms as well.
This facility is really a conference center, and while options to "camp" in tents might be available, we did not book that type of an engagement this time around!
Hope to see you at Camp,
Cathy

Hello, my name is Gina and I'm new to this site... Is there actually a camp for people with brachial plexus injuries? I can not believe there are people who actually understand what I'm going through. I was injured when a semi truck decided not to stop at a stop sign and instead hit my and my husbands car. The semi hit my side of the car and I received a right humerus open fracture. Emergency surgery put a metal plate and 7 pins to hold my bone together. Well through an EMG I found out I have a stretch brachial plexus injury. I go to therapy 3 times aweek and have improved a lot. I can lift my arm and move my fingers bit can not feel my fingers or use my arm.. This happened Sept. 4th 2002, and I was 12 weeks pregnant at the time of the accident. I have since had a healthy baby girl Madelyn on the 16th of feb 2003. I am have a lot of problems caring for her and get frustrated a lot. I'm so happy there are other people out there who understand. Please tell me about this camp............. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Best Wishes to you on the birth of your new baby.
Cano will be in NY this year at Lake George. If you and your family come you will meet other adults with bpi injury.
I am birth injured and plan on attending. There will be other adult tbpi like you who will be there. It is so helpful to meet others with this injury. It helps to be with others who can support and understand your feelings.
Check out the camp information on the Home Page
