magnets assisting pain?

I recently borrowed a necklace made of magnets and I swear the pain decreased a little? Is it just a placebo effect or has anyone experienced any luck with magnets. If so, how does it help?

i was always wondering if magnets might help, but even if it is placebo, a decrease in pain is great. i tried a magnet car seat cover in bed, with zero diff. but a necklace might be the trick. i got a buddy who used to get migranes all the time, he got a magnet necklace and it has werkt wonders for him. so, i don't know. so if any1 trys and has a positive result i'd like to know...
