Hi peeps, check this out, if you click the '16 excercises' button it shows interesting alleged gains in paralysed muscles, has anyone ever heard of this? At first i thought it wasn't really relevant info but if it can help paralysed limbs recover, i would be VERY interested to hear if anyone has heard anything about this?

I think I may be being a bit thick here (yeah, yeah, I hear ya "Oh God, must be Marc again"). But I take Quadraplegia as all four limbs being paralysed.
Am I right or wrong??? If I'm right then how does this machine work??? (If I'm wrong, slap me) How can it build strength and muscle in a paralysed limb??? Surely a machine just moving the paralysed limb wouldn't build strength. If it does, BRING IT ON!!!. I'll happily buy one. But if this was the case then me just physically moving my own fukt arm would build muscle. But I'm sure this ain't possible if there's a discontinuation of nerves sending impulses from the brain to the affected muscle, i.e. Avulsion.
Please help me people.

Guys I think you missed the point. The machine is for people with particular C4-C5 injurys. I beleive this machine is to help them work out from a wheelcjair w/o assistance but i see no claims of strengthening paralysed limbs. But Id love to know how to work out my pectoral muscles and upper chest on my BPI arm side. Any Ideas? BTW my arm is totally flail.
Cheers
PS Dave put on about 75 miles this week on the hotrod : )

...well that makes two of us Marc; in my dictionary, quadriplegia means..'complete paralysis of the body from the neck down...' so, how on earth does someone who is unfortunate enough to be quadriplegic manage to use an excercise machine like this?
I'm totally baffled....
