Thanks for posting it here... But I am an adult/obpi 63 - guess I know the outcome....
Thanks for doing this research this should really help in the future... I just could not resist a little humor...

Thank-you for your response. Yes, you may (and most likely could teach me)already know the outcome of the brachial plexus trauma, but it is not well documented in the literature. I am still amazed how many physicians still believe that a baby will "grow out of it". I would love to locate more children for this study to potentially have it considered for publication. So, if you know of any children that qualify for this study that live in the designated area, send them on over to this site! Thanks again for your response.
PS One day I would love to conduct a study on the adults who sustained a birthing brachial plexus injury and assess what function and limitations they have. Would also be a great study. Stay tuned for that one! Lucretia

I am 49, ROBPI. I am still growing out of it. I am intersted in the outcome too. When they run their studt, I wish they would consider a lifetime of compensation, physical and emotional pain and trauma, overuse syndrome etc. If some of the attorney's out there would look at some of the adults--they would realize what a lifetime impact this injury has. Good luck. Pat

Maybe post this on the General Message Board as well (I don't think I saw it there). I think more of the parents with younger children post and review there.

Thank you for the suggestion. I now have it posted there as well. Really hoping to "catch" some participants from these sites. At some point it would be awesome to have those of you who responded (in the age group beyond 8 years!) and assess your functional use and capabilitie. You all have lived the experience. I am just wanting to get more documented on the functional aspect of BPP. Will see what happens with the study.
