Hello Everyone-

I haven't posted in awhile. I was really busy around the holidays. Just thought I would let you all know have Hannah is doing. She is doing ok. We are still using the e-stim unit. Just having a little trouble with the electrodes staying in place on her back at night. Going to speak to her therapist tomorrow. We mailed out a video to TX finally in Dec. Just waiting for a reply. I hope there is something they can do for her she because currently she is not be followed by a specialist at all. Due to Shriner's closing we chose not to go back there. And specialist here in Wisconsin seem to think she is doing fine. Which we of course disagree. Seeing how she still in unable to raise her arm above her head. She is going to be turning 3 in March so we are having to make decsions about other therapy arrangments besides Birth to 3. It's just a big insurance issue. We haven't gotten any further with our attorney. I just wish we could get something started. Well I have a lot of reading to catch up on. Great to be back.

Our insurence company keeps refusing to pay for our son's therapy but fortunately because he has not turned five yet the state pays anything our insurence company does not cover. In our state it is Child Development Services - is there nothing like that where you live?

We sought legal advice when our son was young and was told we did not have a case. I do not know what that says about our legal system or the lawyer we consulted or the doctor who does not accept responsibility for our son's birth injury.

I have never heard of Child development service. She just has our state MA card. We live in WI.

Nicki,
What part of Wisconsin do you live in? We are in the northwest within commuting distance of Minneapolis-St. Paul. We're also using Birth to 3. My husband is looking into getting PT along with the OT that is being provided through that program.

We have been very happy with the staff at the Brachial Plexus Clinic at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minnesota. In fact, my 16 month old is having secondary there on Jan. 16.

Julie- I am so sorry my kids and husband have been sick. We live in central WI. I have been tring to find a "good" BP doctor close to our area. But no such luck. We aren't getting anywhere with University Hospitals here in WI. Waiting for TX to reply. Would really like to email you. Email me if you would like
