Happy New Year...2003

How time flys - Soon it will be spring and summer an then
Camp time on Labor Day weekend here in New York right on beautiful Lake George....

I am going - I hated camp as a kid... but now in my second childhood I am getting a chance to go again...

I only know of a few adult obpi who are going and was hoping some of the adult tbpi were going to....

It would be great for all of us... we could go rowing.... use the canoe, I think they have a rock wall to climb (not I...LOL..) all this and information sharing too....

I hope to be going this year as well! All the way to New York with my deep scottish accent! I really hope its not too expensive and i can afford to go bcos id need to get a return flight aswell, however, iv started savin my muni! I am dyin to meet you all. my internet buddies!
Does anyone remember how much it cost last year?
Iv never been to camp, they dont really have things like that in the UK!
Its sounds sooooooo much fun!

Judy we can get into a canoe finally.... Tina will direct us.... pretty country in Lake George Area...
They have a climbing wall... I suggest we let our husbands climb for us... we just sit and watch...LOL..

All kidding aside it is really a good feeling to sit and exchange talk about an injury most of us never spoke about before we found UBPN...

I hope some of our friends across the pond will make it too!!! that would be great....

When I first thought about the camp-- I had this moment of panic--the Oh no--they'll ask me to do something I can't do with my arm! Duh!!!!! Brownie camp nightmares die hard. I'm thinking about it. I doubt if my husband will be able to go--can I bring one of my girlfriends? Although, I still plan on working on him. He's uncomfortable around a lot of people. Get out the canoe!!!!! Pat

God i keep hearing about this camp and I would just love to go..can you imagine nobody lookin at you funny or askin you why you have a problem doing this or that
I think all bpi's should go and plus its NY and a Lake
I can't wait to meet you all and make some friends who will know exactly the way i feel..

Welcome to the boards...

I met Nancy and Judy almost three years ago... It was so healing to talk with someone who had the same experience as I did...

Meeting others and getting support has been great for me... and I never even knew I needed any support ...LOL... I did not realize how much I needed others who understood what being bpi is like....

Camp should be fun... both for the children and their families... and for us... with so many adults we can have a really great group to talk about issues that we all need to address... Some how meeting others gave me more confidence and empowered me to go out and do more to prevent this injury where possible and to expect and get better medical care.

I am at the point when some one asks about my arm now... I educate them and then tell them how to prevent it... bet some are sorry they were nosy enough to ask...LOL...LOL...

Looking forward to meeting all of you...

well I would love to meet all of you and hopefully get a little closer to sanity. I have felt so alone till I found this website now I feel better and hopefully go to camp and feel even better maybe make friends and well I guess you know where I am going to go with that...lol...I will be going alone but Im sure I won't feel like it see ya all there...
