Hi. I am wondering if you ever had a case where the middle skull bones overlapped the frontal bone. My son was born with BPI, but his bones overlapped, and still are. Have you heard of this.
Thank You
Sincerely
Debbie Miller

This had happened during the birthing process also, and is noted in his records. He still has this problem to this day. (a little info)

Re: A question for Ken Levine
I have seen situations in the past where as a result of extensive pressure to the head there was some effect upon the baby's skull. It is unusual for this to occurr and is more likely to happen when there is a vacuum extraction or use of forceps.
In 1999 a study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine titled " Effect of Mode of Delivery in Nulliparious Women on Neonatal Intrcranial Injury" The article mentions that skull fractures as one of the potential problems with vacuum extraction and forceps.
In your case I do not know if you had a vacuum extraction or forceps delivery. This would explain the situation more clearly. You did say it happened during the birthing process. If you want to call me with more details I would be pleased to speak to you.

Re: A question for Ken Levine
Dear Mr.Levine,
Just curious if you can help me. Im 27 years old and 5 months post-op. This was my 1st surgery ever and the results thus far are positive. I was born with a left obpi in jamaica. What would I need to do to start legal action.
Are you familiar with any other cases (out of the country) such as mine?
Thank you in advance,
alex

What happened to the postings?
Just curious--what happened to the other two posts, especially the 12/15 that apparently caused this subject to pop back to the top after weeks on the back burner?
Re: What happened to the postings?
I am wondering myself, it said a guest posted it/
This is weird.

debbie and christy,
all posts which are posted by someone anonymously and not logged in must be reviewed by the board moderators before they go up. we are not online all the time and so there may be some lag time between when someone posts and when it is approved. In this case the person posted the same message twice and one of them was deleted because it was duplicated. The other has just been approved.
