Weight bearing after surgery

Rosalynn had Nerve graft surgery on Nov. 1st. She got her splint off the Tuesday before thanksgiving. In our PT OT protocol they said no forced weight bearing until after the first of the year. she was crawling well (army crawl) and almost walking before the surgery. Now she sits on her butt, one leg folded underneath her, one leg up and pushes herself along like that with the one leg and unaffected arm. (This is really hard to describe, I hope you can picture it) Should I let her move around like this, or is this going to be the start of a bad habit? I know she is moving like this because she does not have to put weight on her affected arm and her legs have been a little wobbely since being able to get down and move around again.
