I had surgery on my c5 and c6 on 9-23-02, what exercise did you do at home that help you recover?
Name the injury you had and what type of surgery you had. How long you been injuried and how you are feeling now.
This will help everyone trying to suceed.
Thank you so much.

Hi,
What kind of surgey did you have? I had nerve graphs done on C5, C6, and C7. I had my arm in a sling for four weeks after my surgery. After four weeks i started physio where i did passive rang of motion exercises. My PT gave me streching exercises to do at home like streching my fingers wrist and shoulder. I hope this helps you.

Hi Rob, it's early days for signs of recovery yet but you're doing the right thing......I hated the therapy but as Andrew says it's mainly stretching etc especially the areas where contractures happen at first.....the muscles under the armpit are bad for that, plus the hand/fingers. Once you get some sign of reinnervation you can really work on those muscles. Keep us posted with your recovery, it's great to share someone's progress 'as it happens'....

Hi,
My son Gianni had his surgery on 11/4 in New Orleans with Dr. Kline. I would like to know more about your surgery. It would be interesting to see how you both progress. Dr. Kline said not to expect anything for a least a year.
Regards,
Maureen, aka Gianni's mom ps Gianni is 18yrs old.
