I just now read your post after snooping in the other forums. What has happened since this? Where are you from? I'm from CA. I know this would have happened to me also if I didn't find this site!! Post in the main forum. Most people post there. Let me know. You aren't alone!

Hi there

You are definately not alone. The same thing happened with my daughter. She is now 15 months old. We didn't even find out from a doctor.

We had been talking to a couple different lawyers. One of the lawyers brought it to our attention. It wasn't until I started asking for the medical records from the doctor's and the hospital that I found out they had diagnosed her from the day she was born and didn't tell us.

All they told us was that she had some stretched nerves from the delivery and that 95% of these injuries cure themselves.

Kind of ironic when I found somewhere that this is what a lot of doctors say when they are not fully aware of this type of injury.

It is good that he is using his hand/wrist.

Where do you live? Have you searched for other doctors in your area? I would definately seek a second opinion. Maybe you need a doctor that you do not work with, this situation may tend to be a little biased.

Try to find a doctor that specializes in bpi's and see what they say. It is not too late to get help for your son. Try to get him into therapy as soon as possible, that is the best thing for him at this point.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me.

Good luck in whatever you do.

Terri
