I was in a motorcycle accident 3 years ago. I had a broken humerous and a BPI. I had a nerve transfer, tendon transfers and lots of physical and occupational therapy. I played piano all my life. Now I play one handed. Everyday I am relearning how to do everyday tasks. I am excited about communicating with others who have the same challenges.

Glad to have you here. My motorcycle accident was in 99. I started riding again around 2004. I own two bikes now. I still own and operate a v-twin motorcycle shop.

I was a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver, my cousin, was not injured. After having a nerve transfer and 2 tendon transfers, I still have limited function and feeling in my right hand. I have learned how to do almost everything that I used to do with my left hand that I used to do right handed. I am amazed that you can drive a motorcycle.

There are plenty of people still riding, in fact we have someone in our community who races in the Isle of Man:

Having had my injury for over 30 years(avulsed all five) and done just about any sport I have wanted to do and knowing tons of others doing sports, my basic thought is if you want to do it, you can.
Happy to help in any way,
Dan

Do you play golf? Before my injury, I used to play (terribly, but I enjoyed it). I have limited use of my right hand and can not grip a club. My husband wants me to learn to play one handed. It was difficult to learn with 2 good hands. Any suggestions?
