Medication Holiday

Hi Everyone:
I know that I have been away from the network, but not in my mind.
On March 2014, all my doctors placed me on a MEDICATION HOLIDAY that last until APRIL 28, 2014. There was no real reason to do this, however, my medical staff, against my requests, stripped me of all my medications, except for one anti-depressant. No tapering or weaning...just an abrupt stop. It was a horrible time for me. Six E.R. visits, 4 doctor visits, and 5 mental health visits within a month! Finally, after advocating for myself, I threatened the V.A. with a human rights violation lawsuit. That same day I was reevaluated for my hypertension medication and written a prescription. The medication has two benefits for me, hypertension reduction and anti-anxiety. SO, THE REASON I AM WRITING THIS TOPIC IS TO INFORM ANYONE WHOM TAKES MEDICATION(S), PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO TAKE THEM AWAY FROM YOU. DO NOT BE A AFRAID TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. AND, I MEAN HARDCORE, IN THEIR FACE, NO HOLDS BARRED VERBAL ADVOCATING. It will be about a month before I will feel like me (again). I will try to answer eMail, post topics, and make comments. However, I must go slow. But, I am still active with UBPN!
