At 68, suddenly having more problems with shooting pains and burning in forearm. Wonder if this is normal and expected. Also have Rather prominent veins in upper arm. I've always had good use of injured arm tho' lots of contracture and no rotation in elbow. Would love some feedback from other seniors with OBPI.

I'm sorry,Susan...I re-read my post to your question and I feel I was kinda "short" with you. I should've answered:
YES, these feelings in your injured arm/shoulder are quite common as we OBPI-ERS age. We seniors in our 60's and me in the 70's have shared enuff in other topic threads that these are what we call "our secondary injuries/medical issues that come as we age. Depending on the circumstances of our individual injury's(we're all a little different in serverity). Just type "shoulder/arm pain" in the "Search Box" at the top of any page in the "Adults & Teens With..." Forum and all posts on that topic should come up for you.

Hey Susan,
Have you tried taking vitamin B 12...that has reduced my shooting pains from many times a day to just a couple times a month at most if I remember to take it every day. Definitely not a vitamin that I want to miss anymore! I hope that this may be your problem and it resolves quickly!
