i was at the dollar store yesterday and came across a box of hula-hoops. i got the smallest one and thought hmmm wonder if i could spin that thing with my BPI arm....i tried it and had a hard time with it. i started it spinning with my "good" hand and was able to spin it for a few seconds on my BPI arm. it helps with doing arm circles. a bit faster than usual, but that is a good thing for me. then i put it on my lap and grip it at the 7 oclock position and turn it like a steering wheel to the 5 oclock position and back. that seems like it would help with the wrist and grip strength. forget about trying it around the waist. it goes directly to my ankles. lol
just an idea if anyone is looking for ideas on excercises. any other ideas?

Hey JMAR,
Very interesting  We become our best inventors to overcome what we can with these Injuries, See alot of post like that To ;) :D There are many ways to lift and change angles for the drop shoulder that fell good to. I stretch this way  I bend back a little and try to put my shoulder blade together the best I can  . The other is because I have built grasp over time squeezing a rubber ball from little. I can change the angle of my erbs arm and shoulder, by lift it with my good arm there fore I can HOLD but cant reach. It fell Great on the drop shoulder to  ;) :D
Best is having a deep massage arm and Shoulder  :D ;) I use heat and cold on my wrist and shoulder sometime after hold onto a SEMI steering wheel with my erbs hand. Bad cramping and pain from doing it sometimes   For some Strange reason   Pain tolerance or of increased ENDORPHINS Happen over time, I guess  ;)
Hope it helps???? We sure must have a lot of tolerance to pain By POST HERE by trying think??? ;)
Tom  :D

Jmar i dont know if you have acces to a pool or not ,i have a family membership with the local YMCA ,they have an indoor olympic size pool with foam water weights, what i do is lay on my back with legs on the deck of the pool and move my arms in a jumping jack motion i do 10 of these,i also flip over on my stomach with legs on deck face really close to waterand take the foam weights and do a push-up method and then alternate between that and butterflyarm lifts, when i'm done with that i free float and do bar dips with the foam weights,i basically try to duplicate barbell chest and shoulder exercises in the pool,,when in the pool i can accomplish all these things however when i get out of the pooli'm back to being BPI limited If you dont have acess to a pool you might want to try and find a YMCA near you that has a pool it's worth the family membership to me. Good Luck and i wish you all the best.

actually, i live right across the street from one of the ymcas here. we have 2. i do a lot of water excercises. sometimes i go to the gym and throw a basketball against the wall and shoot some baskets (or attempt to) lol. i just got home from the Y a little while ago. had to get out of the pool because there was lightening. :( oh well, i got an hour and a half in the water. that was good enough. water excercises seem to help more than anything. i do not know how to swim, but i do like to get in the water and excercise.

i am always trying to find diffferent things to do to keep my entire arm, hand and shoulder from getting stiff or painful. i have found that if i slack on excercising, i am miserable. one thing all the time gets boring
