We had the muscle transfer/tendon releases surgery done when my son was 19 mos. old at Cincinnati Children's because x-rays started showing deformity and he was very limited in his ROM. It helped his ROM soooooooo much and was beyond worth it. We are still working on strengthening (it's been 3 years almost) and it takes a lot of work after the surgery, but I can't express how much it helped him.
