We received a letter from our insurance company that Stephanie had been approved for PT for a total of 8 sessions. The PT can request an extention if it can be proven needed. How can the insurance company sit limits like this? Her doctor at Children's made a prescription for PT until Dec. 12, twice a week. The insurance company has not even seen her, etc. The way it goes now, she will be done with PT by mid-Oct, if a grace period is not granted. She is showing a lot of improvement. She is using her arm now. But she is no where close to be done with PT. She is still winging, her arm is still not straight, her wrist is turned wrong. This makes me so MAD. I hate to deal with insurance companies any way. It seems that we may the premiums and they still make the rules. There just seems to be something wrong with the way this is all set up. I am sorry for venting so much. But it seems like for every step forward we make, there is someone there to make the steps a little hard to climb.
