Re: TENS unit???
E- hi. I have used a tense- EMPI unit, with various 'shock' options like back, hand, shoulder. Sometimes i only use one line w 2 oval 1.5 inch pads at night. For me placing them just off extreme low center spine if used on the low back or under my shoulder and on the side of the neck where the nerve paths are underneath. Takes time to place the settings and electrodes in different places/pulses as it can feel different even in the same spot if you stand vs sit vs sretch. Good luck , it can help for a bit for many.

Re: TENS unit???
It took me a few years to get comfortable enough to use it at night of i want. Now i wake up with the electrode on my head!! Lucky it turns itself off, well. I hope you have a good device or ask for one from all those quacks... ( with all respect- have a few docs in the family who' get it' ). Best recent advice was 'Anything that takes off the edge and tensed muscle is good' Really?@ cheers.

thank you for your advice...i put it along my shoulderbalde n it sucked lol
Re: TENS unit???
Just out of curiosity has anyone been denied a Tens unit because of their OBPI? I had one and then they took it away and said that I couldn't have it anymore because it was "dangerous" for my injury. I was really mad because it gave me a great deal of comfort.
Oh and I also put the electrodes on my neck, spine and shoulder. There were a couple of specific places that I can't recal at the moment I put them and they hurt like heck too.

Re: TENS unit???
Heykisseegoose. My understanding is there is a debate about tense units but i believe only for certain conditions. Obviously we are both talking here so know debates raise awareness of whatever subject but for us seem to only take away options. If you say your unit was taken away aka no more insurance, the costs did go up some but electrodes are not too bad. Refurbed Empi Units are a great savings if you need a unit too. Hope that helps?
