Clavicle repair and BP issues

Brand new to this board - looking to chat with others that may have a similar experience to mine. Surgery March 21st to repair clavicle non-union resulting from bike accident April 2010 (3rd left clavicle fracture, 1977, 2001, 2010). Complicated surgery - 5.5 hours, plate and 12 screws. Beautiful job by appearance of x-rays (very respected surgeon), but rather numb left arm and hand, very slight mobility in fingers, very weak tricep. Everyone I talk to advises patience, but I like to be proactive. So far doing some acupuncture with electrical stimulation, shiatsu massage, and some chiro work to stretch and lengthen the muscles and tendons - all feel beneficial. Talking to a local semipro bicycle racer, who seems to have gone through exactly the same symptoms, he claims great success from ARPwave and dry needle therapy started some two months post operative. Comments, suggestions? Looking for anything I can do to speed recovery. Many thanks!
