The new ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) passed revised rules and regulations in 2010. Charged with implementing these changes, the DOJ, EEOC, and the Department of Labor have passed new regulations, updated originals, and made clear as to what, who, and how you are covered. As wells as, providing instructions on where and how to seek help and protection under the ADA. This link also includes information on where to seek help with job seeking, training, and education. It also provides information on federal programs regarding housing, accessibility, and other such programs. A wealth of information that is very well organized. The regular Disability.Gov site is also a very informative and is updated regularly with valuable information.

not to be negative but will the ADA say she was disabled BEFORE the law went into effect so therefore denying the benefits you need? stating that you have to go by the law that was in effect when she was born? just a thought and something to watch out for.

My dear Louise,
I suggest that it is NOT "just 1 arm"; I suggst that you make a list of ALL Things AND
Activities
of every day life that Miss Elizabeth CANNOT DO by herself and I believe a bigger picture of her "disabilities" will emerge for you, then go back over the ADA Document.
HUGGZ, Love & a Prayer too,

if you make a video of her trying to do things along with a written list, that may help a lot too.

GOSH YES, Louise!...a video like Joyce sugguested will definitely do it. Also DO NOT GIVE UP Appealing denials...you appeal "Until"...it is a fact that parents who appeal at least 3 times usually get approved because "they" know you are NOT going away. There are many posts collaborating just this on "Both Adults & Teens with OBPI" AND TBPI Forum message boards.
Persistence, my friend. 8-)

HUGGZ for you & Miss Elizabeth,
