Good Morning Everyone,
My question is this: My son had ACR surgery four weeks ago and was splinted. Yesterday we were able to remove the splint for three hours in the morning and three hours at night. My son is 16 an yesterday was rough. Any insight on the process. Please any info, support you can give I will be very grateful! Thanks Tina

i had surgery when i was 9, and i remeber the agonizing pain when my cast came off! move slowly, and dont rush into anything. i literally carried my arm around for a week... even tried to hand it to my mom.. i said "here, hold this!" it just feels like a lot of weight at first because he's not used to being able to move it anymore. with more time being able to move the days should get easier.

Thank you for the post....It's Comforting to hear that this is normal and the comforting words help so much. How are you doing? Is this a birth injury for you also? Your positive attitude is awesome!!!!
