Does anyone know of any exercises to strengthen the rhomboid muscles?

We do "military shoulders" - sitting up straight, crossed legs, pull shoulder blades together in back, to get the feel of the rhomboids. As they and the lower lats get stronger, you can start doing things like arm raises and other "official" exercises. I like this website for exercises and muscle descriptions:

They are very right about weak rhomboids/winged scapula tending to go a long with a protracted shoulder girdle, which is described here:

The rhomboids can't work if they are continually being stretched and the scapula pulled forward by tight chest muscles. For us, this is the key. I found a great website and am teaching Joshua these floor stretches for his shoulder. He has a protracted shoulder girdle and it restricts that last bit of shoulder external rotation and scapula retraction, especially in overhead motions:

I've sound that our SEMG biofeedback machine has been really helpful in getting Joshua to target the correct muscles during exercises, as well.

Can anyone suggest exercises for a 12 year old to strengthen his shoulder muscles and also help with his wrist. He had the surgery when he was about 6 months, took nerves out of legs and graphed them into shoulder. He had pretty good range of motion but I noticed lately his wrist and hand are more turned in that before and also when he runs, he tends to hold his arm awkwardly. I am the grandmother and would like to get my daughter some info on exercises that may be helpful. THanks.
