BPI and fevers!

I have a question regarding BPI's and fevers. Brayden started running a fever last night and right before he kept complaining of his arm huritng. He kept telling me his arm is broken (he is 3). I asked him to show me where it hurt and he pointed near his wrist and forearm, which his wrist is sublaxed. I know that can cause pain, but this is the first time ever he has comlained about it hurting so much. Except for a while back when he was in hospital for a mystery bug and very high fever he would say his arm hurt, but then it was up in his shoulder. After he started comlaining about his arm last night is when he got a temp of 101. I gave him some medicine and his fever went away, and he said his arm is not broken anymore and has not complained since. The only other thing I can think that cause it to hurt, is that he did not wear his brace most of the day yesterday.

My question is this, has any of your kids, or those of you that are adults with this injury. With a fever does that make your arm hurt more or cause pain in your arm? I know sometimes fever can cause body aches, but does the aches intensify with the BPI arm? Thank you for any replies!

Nerve pain tends to flare up when stressed, sick, growth spurts... and for females, menstruation too! Not everyone gets this, but it is quite common.

I do remember other adults posting about a connection between fevers-pain-and their BPI side.
I bumped up a thread on Fever and Pain for you. 8-)

My daughter is 13 and still knows when she is going to get sick before any symptoms show up because of the tingling and pain in her BPI arm. Has always been this way.
