this site is a nightmare. when a person with limited finger use on both hands have to spend long periods of time trying to find something on a website that is supposed to help people with these type of problems--it does not help--it makes my hands worse when i spend long times typing and finally give up because i get so frustrated.
does any one wonder why this site is not very popular?

Joyce,
I'm sorry you have trouble with typing and navigating the site due to your injury, but this site is NOT unpopular! I think anyone who would have limited use of their fingers on both hands would have trouble on ANY website that is used for message boards.
Have you tried using the Search function to narrow down what you are looking for?
There is software out there for people who cannot type, as well as tools people use who have limited use or no use of their hands. A friend of mine is a complete quadraplegic and he runs a message board just like this one. It takes some adaptations yes, but it is possible.

What is it that you are looking for, perhaps if you tell us we can also help you find it.

Please Jmar don't give up on this website. Maybe it could be made better for easier navigation... I don't know... I don't have this type of injury but my daughter does. It has been a tremendous source of information and support to me and my family as well as many many others. I would be more then happy to help you in anyway that I can.

when someone leaves me a message where do i go to get it? there are so many topics then when you click on a topic you get 500 more posts i just dont understand that. I am trying to get some questions answered that my dr refuses to let me even ask. i am only 3 months into this injury and have never even knew this type of injury existed.when someone does respond to me where do i go to retrieve the information? if i can figure out how to navigate this site i would love to stay on here

Jmar,
I am sorry about your frustration with navigating the site. Regarding the questions that you asked about receiving new messages (if it is a private message) then after you log-in there is a line that says * User Control Panel (0 new messages) • View your posts- You want to just click on the "- New Messages" portion and it will take you directly to your inbox. If you are looking to see if someone responded to your public post, you can "View Your Posts". I hope this helps. This is a wonderful community that is willing to answer your questions and make this transition a little easier. You can also use the Search box on the right side of your screen to look up more specific posts.
