Frustrated by trying to measure...

I'm trying to get things done, and though I love my husband, he doesn't always feel the motivation I do for same things. So I wanted to paint a barn door on Jack and baby's side of the door and I have to measure and draw lines. But I need 2 hands to do this. I got most of it drawn, and maybe I was in the negative thinking that I'd get stuck at some point anyway, but when I had trouble holding my level and not having it slip I got frustrated and gave up. Besides the baby belly gets in my way with my ability to reach. It takes away some of my distance because it sticking out there.

I feel a little more revitalized after stopping in here, but UGH! I'm not a tall person, and I don't have the reach, and I'm getting pregnancy carpal tunnel issues so my non-BPI hand goes numb very easilym then to top it off I've lost a couple inches of reaching ability due to the baby belly.

OK, I'm going to tackle it before bedtime I hope. But I'm very annoyed and reaching makes me very tired.
Which brings the question, why does reaching exhaust me so much? I'm only good for a couple attempts at putting my hair up or trying to reach something.

OK, I'm done.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Reaching tires me out and I'm not pregnant

I know how you feel though. A lot of times I'll get aggrivated with a project because I can't do it and need Dh's help and he doesn't come through so I go ahead and try it myself just to run into problems.

Could you use a step ladder to get closer to the lines. That usually helps me.

Traci,

Use a chalk line! :) Just tape or thumbtack the metal end at point "A", then you only need to hold it at point "B" with one hand and snap it with the other. You can either paint following the chalk lines, or use them as a guide to place painter's tape (or even sketch along the line with a pencil). It works great!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
