Lawsuit over and I'm back
I have been waiting for over 6 years and today we finally settled for my son Garrett. I have been away from the UBPN boards for some time now -so many wonderful changes!! My husband & I are expecting our 2nd child in September. (another boy). I'm a little worried about the age gap (7 yrs) but it took me a lot of time to find the courage to trust another OBGYN. So far so good though.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

WELCOME BACK, "Fullhouse Mom"!! I'm glad you're back and Congratulations on a well fought Lawsuit Battle for your son. Now relax as much as you can,& enjoy your pregnancy. Children grow up sooo fast... Enjoy your son Garrett.

Congratulations, FullHouse Mom!! I'm happy to hear someone won a BPI lawwsuit. Would you mind telling me which lawyer you hired to fight your case? We've been looking, but so far haven't found one who will take our case. They all say these types of cases are very hard to prove. Maybe your lawyer can help recommend one in our area. We live in San Antonio, Texas. That would be just so wonderful. Thanks in advance.
