New non-profit needs your help!!!!!

Post by minniem »

Hello, on this board and on others I am known by my nickname, Minnie. In everyday life I am KT Morgen a songwriter with a TBPI for the last ten years of my life. For a long time, I have wanted to start an organization that could give others with a brachial plexus injury (BPI) courage, hope, and healing and now that is a reality this year with Imprint. Imprint is a brand new non-profit corporation and currently in the application process for 501c(3) status.

The exciting news is Imprint was chosen to participate in the Pepsi Refresh Project in April 2010. In 2010 Pepsi is giving away millions of dollars to fund good ideas that make the world a better place. Imprint needs your help right now to win this Pepsi Refresh Grant so please log on to:
http://www.refresheverything.com/imprint
Then create a free account and vote every day throughout April 2010 for Imprint. Please spread the word to everyone to vote for Imprint.

Thank you so much for all your help! This grant can and will help so many people so please vote.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York

I don't mean to be rude but for the last ten years UBPN has been doing just that!
UBPN has materials for all types of bpi injured. UBPN has run a Camp every 2 years for bpi injured and their family. Camp has been a great resource for bpi injured for support, information and networking with others who share our injury. I has also offered support for the family at these camps as well as bpi medical professionals to update us on the many changes in the bpi world. At Camp many of us connected, not only with other obpi adults but also tbpi who have been supported and helped by ubpn resources.

I'm wondering why you would want to form another organization when this one is viable and supportive of all obpi??
