Topamax (Topiramate) for pain?

Hey,
Just curious if anyone has tried Topamax (Topiramate) for pain? I have been on it since about Dec 25th. It is a seizure drug, just like Lyrica and Neurontin. Neurontin didn't work for me, so I was put on Topamax as I had seen some online research about how it worked very differently than Lyrica and Neurontin for pain. It took a month to taper to the correct dose but I think it is finally working maybe? My pain had averaged about a 7-8 daily before and would periodically get to the 9-10 range when I did stuff. I have been on it for about a month and a half now and my pain is at about a 5 sometimes a 6. I know that isn't a huge change, but it makes a huge difference to me to be at a 5 compared to an 8. My only problem is the medicine makes me fairly nauseas, it should eventually go away, but with some people it doesn't and with it being over a month not sure it will with me. It kind of makes me feel "out of it".... I don't know if the side effects are worth it or not. I mean, its hard to function with the side effects sometimes, but it was hard to function with the pain too. I think I am hoping to see if the side effects wear off like they do in some people before I give up since it appears to be helping with the pain.
Just curious if anyone else has been on it and if they saw any changes, etc?
