That's amazing and wonderful. We have come a long way. When I was young only the church team would let me play Basketball because of my arm.... So happy to see that these things are possible for the kids and that they are not discriminated against but given a change to prove themselves.

My name is Tracie Clayborn(Adrian's mom). Thank you posting this information about this disorder. It is important for children to know that they can succeed. With a lot of faith in God, hard work and determination they can do almost anything they want. Adrian worked very hard to make it even when I was unsure about him playing contact sports. I saw the determination to beat this in his eyes so I put it in Gods hands and let him play. So far he's been blessed with no injuries since he started playing in junior high. GOD IS GOOD!!

Tracie --
So great to hear from you. Thank you for posting on our boards. Whenever we see a someone move beyond the injury and have great accomplishments, we all feel a sense of pride! You and Adrian are both inspirations to all of us. Thanks for contributing and stopping in to say hello! Hope you will visit often and give we mothers pointers on raising positive and confident kids!

YES Thank you Tracie, for coming on and posting about Aidrian...Often I have read posts from mothers asking whether it's okay to let their son play sports, especially football. Please come back here often to re-assure moms and Dads too about letting their children try anything they want to.
HUgs all around,

It takes a trained eye to spot the disability, and even I had to do some research as to which wing was affected... In his case it's his right arm. It's fantastic to see him come this far.
I used to swing a mean bat in little league. I guess my left arm made more leverage when I swung. I used to hit rocketing line drives out, one aced a shortstop in the groin, putting him down for the count. After that incident, the infielders would flinch when I would take a swing at a pitch.
I still swear to this day that I didn't really mean to do it...
