Disability Act

Post by clarissaf »

I was wondering if anyone out there knew what website I can go on to look up information about children with disabilities law. There was a situation at my son's school where he was embarrassed by a teacher of all people regarding his arm. I have a meeting with this teacher tomorrow and wanted to have some information with me about harrassment and embarrassment of children with disabilties. if there are actual laws, which I'm sure there are I want to be able to refer to them. If anyone can help, it's much appreciated! Thank you!

Read #3!

#2 (maybe)

No teacher has the right to do what this one did! My phys ed teacher when I was in elementary school was nasty and discrimanatory as well, but I never said anything as I was way too shy and quiet. I am glad you were made aware of it and can now deal with it.

Good luck!
