we're working on the nuances of the new message boards, and I apologize for the inappropriate posts. We have tried to alter the ability of automatic posts, so we will see if that helps alleviate it. Thank you to those who have contacted me, I was lucky to have a new phone that allowed me to remove the posts while I was out.

Hi Rich -- am very patient. Everything new has bugs. But I tried really hard to contact all of you because I figured it was a holiday weekend and someone, somewhere had to be around to get rid of it. It was yucky seeing it again. :o  :geek:

I appreciate the call.

My wife got it and called me. I was out at the time, but my Moto Droid allowed me to do it remotely. Took some time, but it worked. Oly to find another one the next day. We may have alleviated it. I'm waiting with fingers crossed

If you did, let me know how...! The other board I use has the same issue and I delete accounts daily!

from what I have seen, these BOTS can only post new threads (thankfully) and they are usually new accounts, so everytime someone registers I (we) have to approve the account. The settings are usually not very smart by the Bots, and you can tell they are not real. I can email as well, and if no response then no access to boards:

Account activation:
This determines whether users have immediate access to the board or if confirmation is required. You can also completely disable new registrations.

so no new account has access to the boards. Old accounts that were already approved can, but it usually is a randomly generated account, and they usually don't post more than once, so like I said, fingers crossed!---

Hmm, yeah.. I see what you mean. We can't do that though as we new people daily, though it is annoying. There used to be a way to stop the Bots from being able to post at all, but the security feature for it crashes the site.

Grr! Annoying little buggers!
