I am angered by this as well. I realize that people lie to police and that officers sometimes have to make split second decisions or act immediately to control a situation, but some just won't take the time to listen even when it isn't an emergency.

I have thought myself about what would happen if I were ever arrested and they tried to put my arm behind my back. Not that I am in a habit of breaking the law, but wrongful arrests do occur.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

I was never in trouble but this was one of my worst fears. That along with being sworn in... I hate when I hear "raise your right hand". I'm so glad I never had to testify or be sworn in for anything.
