I have a new tattoo!

While reading the names some OBPIs have given to their injured arms, I loved "Nemo." I was struck by how much the Little Nemo movie was like my situation own! He too had a "gimpy" fin, an overprotective parent, and some real trouble in life because of being sheltered too much.
So.... I decided I needed another tattoo. (It's my 4th!) I needed one of Little Nemo on my injured side! Problem was, Nemo's RIGHT fin was smaller and it's my LEFT "fin" that is smaller. But I figured out how to do it! I "flipped" the image on my computer and made Nemo backward - like me I guess!
Two days ago, I had Little Nemo tattooed on my left bicep, with his LEFT fin smaller! My nieces and nephews think it is way cool and they know WHY I have it and can tell people. I'm excited about the doors it can open! It will give me a chance to educate people about BPIs because I know people will ask "Why Nemo?" since my other three tattoos are ones I desigend that have specific meanings.
This one has meaning too. It is about, finally, at 41, completely accepting what happened to me but not letting it run my live. It's about no longer trying to hide my injury or feeling like I am lesser than other people because of it. Thank you to everyone here on the boards for helping me in the journey.
Just thought I'd share! If you're at Camp 2010, I'll show it to you!

P.S. And I am soooooo proud of my husband. He's wanted a tattoo for a while, but is seriously needle phobic.(When doctors ask if he's allergic to anything, he says "I'm allergic to needles. They make me break out in violence.") But he sucked it up and got the tattoo that he's wanted the same day I got Nemo! I knew he'd be fine - tattooing isn't like getting a shot - but he had to overcome the mental step and he did!!!!
