Hi Everyone! We just got home from NY and I just wanted to thank Claudia and Cathy (and everyone else who helped out) for a wonderful day. It was so nice seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We had a great day!

I agree with Rachel. Thank you Claudia and Cathy..and thank you Mother Nature for holding the rain off. A huge thank you must go to Dr. Nath as well. He has a heart of gold and a personality to match.

Ditto ditto ditto....what a great day - especially since we did not get an "S" word ...well no arm "S" for at least another year! (Now we have to work on ear "S" however....sheesh.)

The day was great - loved seeing everyone - loved watching the kids playing together. The zoo was just splendid - small and cozy. Animals looked so happy and healthy (a rare find usually in a small zoo). Was a joy to see them.

Dr. Nath - well what a class act! I forgot who suggested I bring my video camera but whoever suggested that - GREAT IDEA - it helped two families and it felt so great to do this. I've seen his presentation three times now and each time I learned something else....for example, if your child had a capsulodesis you shouldn't be pushing therapy for internal rotation for a while (with some kids not at all) (so please check on this with your doc if your kid is post caps).

Claudia & Kathy - so nice to meet both of you - to put the face to the words. Thank you so much for doing all that goes into one of these events. I know it's not easy and I know that you guys put an amazing amount of time into the planning, etc. THANK YOU!!!

Next picnic.....October 5th in PA !!!

wow thanks francine--as you know katie had the caps and we couldn't figure out why she had no internal rotation going on. did he say how long, etc? we are getting ready to send in our "video checkup" and now I have a few more questions to address. Thanks and glad all went well.

Did anyone meet my friends Kathy and Bianca? Sure wish I could have been there to see everyone. Oh and did Kristen and Alexis make it? Both girls are just sweethearts and so pretty. See I have so many questions...everytime we go to Texas we make additional New York friends. Too bad we live so far away.

I would also like to give a Great Big Thanks you to
Claudia her family, Kathy, and of course Dr.Nath

I learn so much from Dr.Nath's presentation. Education is truly the key to management of this injury.

The weather held out the families were great! All of the children were were great....

Thank you Francine for tap..tap...tap... I used it several times today....

I learned that I am not supposed to have my neck stretched because of bpi... and that some therapy is too strong for my neck and underarm... no matter how tough I am .... too much pressure is not good...

It was nice to visit with so many of the families and put a face to so many names. Nice to see Nancy again and to do the zoo with my OBPI playmate.

As for the rain we really needed it here in NY.

Thanks to All for the hardwork.
Kath

The Zoo, it was so nice. My 3 kids loved the petting zoo. Feeding all the animals was fun. Hope everyone had a nice time, we sure did. See you all soon. :)

Sorry I'm so late joining in on the thank you here! To Claudia and your family and to Kathy and whoever else helped, THANK YOU so much for such a great day! It was really nice seeing friends again and meeting new people. The facility was perfect. The zoo was nice and was small enough to be able to tour the whole zoo while not "missing out" on anything else (I always like to try to fit in everything!).

Thank you to Dr. Nath for traveling so far to help us! The presentation was excellent and although Nicole wasn't able to be examined, it was still helpful to see Dr. Nath and ask ?s, get suggestions, etc.

Thank you to Nicole's Grammy who watched Nicole during the presentation, consultation, and much of the day.

I'm also very thankful that Nicole doesn't need any surgery right now and if she does the earliest will prob. be in 1 1/2 yrs. This will be her first winter w/o a splint the whole winter. Now I'll hope for snow. At some point, we're hopefully going to do a weekly ski therapy program for children with special needs.

Everything went well throughout the day and I didn't mind the rain at all. It felt really good for a change.

It was great having the therapy toys and crayons/paper, etc. to keep the children occupied. I realize that I missed the table where we were supposed to write therapy ideas. I also missed the table with the UBPN Awareness Info. Were these things there and I missed them or were they not there?

THANKS AGAIN to so many who made the day so great!

Dear Claudia and Nancy,

Thanks to both of you for making us feel welcome at last Saturday's picnic. Claudia, it was a tremendous undertaking no matter rain or shine. You did a great job! I am awaiting a call from you with the phone number of the young lady who recently had the surgery. Hope all is well with both of you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerly,
Joanne, Christina, and Matt
