Hi Heather,
thanks for the response. I have just found out that Eric stopped taking the Neurontin a few weeks ago. When we say Dr. Tiel in October, he told Eric that if he didn't think it helped to wean off it. Eric made the decision to stop. Even as a kid, Eric didn't like taking medication for colds, allergies, etc. He'd rather suffer than be groggy. Him going off definitely explains the foul mood I've encountered more than a few times lately. He claims there's no difference in pain relief. So, my husband and I support him but told him not to be a martyr about it. Also, he says he gets best pain relief from distraction and he is certainly busy with school and work. Another thing he says, if he's having a lot of pain, just by walking crooked or off-balance, it can cause distraction from pain just from trying to maintain his balance. Anybody else have similar tricks? See ya later!
