I think it's very dangerous to go to a communal pool with an open wound - unless you have tested that dressing and it is COMPLETELY failproof. You can get one heck of a staph infection in a pool area. (been there done that!)
But IF it is completely failsafe and waterproof - then aquatics are just great... as long as the temp is right...90 is the absolute minimum....better to be between 91 and 94 degrees. If the water is below 90 then it will cause more issues than help.
