Spinal Stenosis

I have recently been told I have some problems with the disks in my lower neck/shoulder region. Supposedly I'm heading for spinal stenosis.

One thing the dr. said that made me start thinking was that he asked me if I had had some kind of trauma there because what they were seeing in my x-rays were indicative of an injury. But I couldn't think of any injury I've had in that area other than my OBPI.

So I'm wondering if there is a connection between the two. Has anyone else had problems with the discs and such in their lower neck/sholder area?

Yes, Kath has Spinal Stenosis and it IS related to our OBPI's.
Type the phrase spinal stenosis in the "Search Forums" link at the top of any page and all posts on that subject should come up for you.

I have spinal stenosis both cervical and lumbar regions of my spine.

I believe it's secondary to obpi because we are supposed to be bilateral. We use one hand and have often compensated by twisting our spines thus causing problems.

It stands to reason that if our necks were twisted and we were pulled out by neck it would be called a traumatic injury. Traction is the cause of bpi.
