its been my experience with weight gain that if you lose it quickly it isnt as likely to be permanent anyways so youre on the right track friend :)-
people can dress it up in different ways- I do for myself- bottom line you already said it- diet/exercise-
the GREAT thing about exercising after a BPI baby is that you can take her with you and its great for her too!
Put her in a sling or a buggy and walk/jog- its great for her balance...
A N D the absolute best is that you feel so much better emotionally- the proper diet alone, and especially coupled with exercise(or vice versa) will set up harmonal releases that generate "feel good" chemicals so
diet , exercise, and ENJOY LIFE!
Simple isnt always easy.

Try 80 pounds!!!!! Blah! I'm finally down 60 of it but still have 20 to go after 3 years. I've lost all 60 with the Body for Life program (see any bookstore.) Worked for me and my husband (he lost 60 pounds too!) I'm a believer now, although I've been plateued (sp?) for a few months. I love this program because once a week you can eat whatever you want. The rest of the week is a low-carb diet but not totally restrictive on the carbs. Exercise is necessary though, but now I honestly can't live without my four-times-a-week walk/run. (Only 20 minutes required per day!)I live for this time!!!

Sorry, I've been such a commercial. But I could never take a diet that told me I could never have potato chips ever again :-)This one allows a once a week food fest!!

I know that not all plans work for everyone. I also believe that we were successful because we were in it together (my husband and I.) I probably wouldn't have stuck with it by myself.

My mom lost 50 pounds with weight watchers, so that might be another way to go. Again, that support factor is key I think.

I joined Weight Watchers in March and have lost almost 30 pounds. I'm a slow loser...but I'm still a loser!! I like it a lot...and I find it easy to do. The points program is so simple. And I find myself much more commited to losing weight if I have to be held accountable for it (like weekly weigh ins). It works if you're diciplined enough. Good luck to you!

I also joined weight watchers and went from a size 14 to a size 8 in three months. With baby weight, it was mostly around my waist, so a little weight loss made a big difference. Their system is wonderful, and it feels great to be in control of your body. Good luck in whatever route you choose, just don't give up because the rewards are worth it!
