Question for Erb's Pasly
Hi Im 16 years old and I have Erb's Pasly and im going to therapy to help movment which have been helping. I was just curious If there is any sergury for fixing the length of my right arm cause it shorter cause of it and if there was a sergery where would I beable to get it done at and what would the cost be. I really want to get this done because I just hate having my arm shorter and I feel so cant think of the word but nervous showing it.

no external rotation against gravity, can only go to 90 degree fwd flexion, no hand-to-mouth
1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008. - Location: Montreal, Qc, Canada

There is a surgery but not everyone is a candidate for it. You would have to see a specialist, preferably a BPI specialist who knows what's what with your injury.
It's called "Ilizarov" technique and it's not an easy surgery to deal with.

My arm is shorter too, and I asked about this surgery too when I was 15 but I couldn't have it done as I had surgery to move some tendons around for more movement.

Do you think it is painful like really bad painfull.Also is there another way to get it longer. oh btw it the Im the same person who asked I just lost my sign in password and login name.
