I have been talking (email) with Gabrielle's surgeon regarding her surgery in March. Today I got an email saying that she may need another procedure to correct her wrist. Her hand still turns under and that is how she trys to weight bear (on top of her hand). All he said was procedure. Has anyone had this procedure? I want to leave him alone for a while but I need to start studying. Gabrielle will be evaluated in February. I want to be ready for anything and I want to start reading up on the wrist movement etc. Thanks for any help!

You may want to check the site
http://www.obstetricalpalsy.net and from there secondary surgery link. There might be something useful.

We were told that they can shorten tendons, move muscles and / or do a capsuledsis type procedure on the wrist-which I found interesting as Katie just had the caps on her shoulder. It appears the joint in the wrist can become stretched just like the shoulder. Hope this helps but I would ask, I am sure the Dr. won't mind explaining to you what he has planned.
