Hey guys and girls, hope you are all great!
had a checkup with my surgeon, and no improvement in my delt as yet.
he said it would be fairly optimistic to hope that it would function so soon, as I am 3 months post surgery. but i fear the window of opportunity for the surgery to work is rapidly closing.
however my humerous is sublaxing.. so its back in a sling, until my brace comes in :'(
does anyone have experience with these types of braces?
god bless

Update
Re: Update
Shaun,
We are in a similiar situation. (see my recent post..."decompression surgery..update on me). I'm sure our injuries and surgeries were different, but we are both hoping it would wake up our deltoids. My shoulder is also subluxing and I've thought about getting one of the braces mentioned on this site. I see my surgeon on April 14th and I want to see what he thinks about a brace, but I really need something.
I know what you mean about the window of opportunity closing...it's been a year and a half since my original injury and seven months since the decompression, and I'm getting just a little impatient.
Which brace are you getting? Did your doc order it for you?
I wish you the best,
MB

Re: Update
I wish that they didnt wait so long between surgeries..
my initial surgery of the nerve graft of my seral nerve...what for...when the surgery has a 60% chance of working, whereas the distall bypass nerve surgery has an 80% chance...
i look back and think it was a waste of time.
yes my O.T/Physio is ordering it in for me and should be here in two weeks
will keep you posted.
you too
