Maia Update- it's good news

Post by francine »

I wanted to tell you guys this morning but was scared to post it because I didn't know myself if it was real or not. But it does look like Maia's arm is coming back slowly. All I can say is Thank the Lord! I'm still going to be praying that it keeps on going in this foward motion.

Thanks for all your prayers, thoughts and kind words.

This morning at breakfast is when she raised her arm and showed me. I thought I would drop to the ground and kiss the floor...but had to respond in a calmer way. Can't believe how stressful this has been.

and there's one thing I want to clarify.... movement in itself is not what was important...it was my fear that if she didn't have this particular movement that she was once again dislocated which would have meant another surgery and we just got over the last one...THAT's what the devastating part was. Last time she was in the splint for 4 months! That's a long time in a kid's life.

Francine, that's wonderful news. I have been thinking of Maia and hoping her range would make it's return. Our little ones really like to keep us on our toes don't they.
