I would love to hear from anyone who has had the humeral osteotomy within the last two years. I am thinking of this surgery for my son who is 11 years old. I would love to hear all the pros, cons, and if you have pictures to share that would be great too! Thanks for your help.

i would also love to hear. i posted asking for the differences between the Stetson and the tendon transfer, we have the choice to make. my son will be 10 soon. the recovery for the Stetson sounds pretty easy, but about the long term? good luck with your decision and your son! has he had any other surgery?

A tendon transfer is when you cut a muscle and attach it somewhere else.
A humeral osteotomy is when you cut a bone and turn it so many degrees in one direction. The outcome depends on the child's original issues, what muscles get turned with the bone and of course how it heals.
You need to talk to your specialists about what will work best for your child.

My son has had two surgeries, the mod quad (muscle & tendon transfer) and the triangle tilt.
