Serial Casting
No amount of stretching or splinting has worked so we are going to try serial casting to straighten Ben's elbow. Has anyone else done it? Was it painful?

Re: Serial Casting
It is not painful if it is not overstretched.
Cindy Servello has a written serial casting protocol sheet you can get from her - cindy1otr@aol.com It explains about maximum amount of stretch per cast, etc. and what type of cast (important because of our kids shoulder volatility)
You can give Ben the supplement magnesium - it is used as a muscle relaxant or foods with magnesium in it. And I would definitely give him a tylenol or equivalent before the first visit.
