Tendon Tightening surgery

My daughter is 3 1/2 and is having her 3rd sugery in 2 weeks in Texas@TCH(this procedure is to allow her to open her hand and use her fingers) I don't know anyone that has had this done and has results, plz respond if you know anyone that has had improvements from this procedure.
