Please keep us in your prayers. My mom had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital early Monday morning. We are still waiting on some tests, but it looks like it might be a bleeding ulcer. My mom lives with us and watches Rosalynn while my husband and I work. Rosalynn knows that something is wrong with Nana and was very upset yeasterday. I will try to put an update on here when I know more. We were planning on going to the Ohio Picnic (all of us including Nana, she is originally from Ohio and very excited about going) Thanks.

They did an endoscope and it is not an ulcer, they think it is the combination of meds she is taking (specifcally asprin and clebrex) They had to give her a unit of blood, they also gave her a procrit shot (it helps tell the body to produce more blood cells) If her lab work is good this morning, they will release her this afternoon. If not they will nedd to give her another unit of blood and keep her for more observations. This has been sooooo stressful. On top of everything else there are very limited daycare options around here. We have a couple people we use for back up babysitters and none of them could watch Rosalynn, so she is with a friend who hasn't babysat with her before.
On a good note, this is my last day of school with the kids this year (I'm a teacher) and the big news..... my hubby got the job he interviewed for in Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!! We both have jobs in Benton Harbor now and we only are about ten minutes from each other's work. All we have to do now is find a place to live. Mark will be going up in a couple weeks. We will move at the end of July when I am done with my summer contract at school. please continue to keep us in your prayers. Thanks again to everyone.

I'm glad to hear your mom is OK and things are going well with your move. Did you go to the picnic in Columbus? We were there, but I'm sad to say that we didn't really get a chance to talk to many people. I wish I could have talked to all of you. Some of you may have seen us though..my son was running around, near the tent, with my daughter Sydney in the wagon and he accidentally tipped her over and she cried A LOT!!
I know what you're saying about the babysitting situation. My mom watches Sydney and when I was telling her about the surgery Dr. Shenaq suggested she said I might want to think about taking a leave of absence from work after the surgery. Of course, I thought that was her way of saying she doesn't think she could handle it (I couldn't blame her though because my grandma who is handicapped lives with her and mom has her hands full with her). I talked to her about it later and she's not sure if she will be able to watch Syd after the surgery. It just depends on how much work it's going to be. Does anyone know whats involved in the caring of the child after the surgery?
