Finally a surgery date!

We finally have a date for Tyler's suppination surgery (in Texas)! It will be done on July 17th. We will fly down probably on the 14th and clinic is on the 15th. Will there be anyone else down there at that time? If so would love to meet you. He will being having at TIRR, that is where he had the mod quad, and I was told that they like to keep doing the surgeries at the same hospital that the first one took place. I was really hoping to be at TCH, oh well all that matters is that the same team is operating on him. Here's to making travel arrangements! Take care.

What is supination surgery? I have'nt heard of that one. How old is your child?

It is a muscle transfer in the forearm, he will then be in an airplane splint, I believe for 8 weeks. My son will be 4 in September.

Jennifer....I wish Tyler and your family the very best. Have a safe trip and we will be praying for a safe, successful surgery and speedy recovery. If you haven't all ready done so and you get a chance.....go the Hermann Park. It is about six blocks from TCH (with in walking distance). The Houston Zoo is there and a lake and huge playground, train to ride. Kyle loved it. It is very cheap to get into the zoo too, only a couple of dollars. Anyway, we'll be thinking about you all.
