Tooth decay and oxygen deprivation

Post by browning93 »

I called Michaela's pediatric dentist today and she confirmed the earlier post. The condition is called enamel hypoplasia she said. Then I found this article and found it to be very interesting since Michaela was not premature but it took them 20 minutes to resuscitate her and she was intubated for 2 days. Though the article is for cerebral palsy I think you can see the correlation.

Thanks, I checked this out, too! Michaela didn't have a tooth in her head till she was 14 months old, and all the cavities. I never got any answers, but now this makes sense. Though she wasn't a premmie, her injuries were so severe. Now I feel like I need to find a better dentist for her and take this info so I'm "armed and dangerous". Thanks
