Hi everyone,
My son had his firdt appointment at Mayo today and we met others who are here for the same injury, so we informed them of this message board. Everything is going well so far and we are expected to meet the "team" on Wednesday. This is a wonderful place we are from the south and are known for our hospitality, but here we have been greeted by some wonderful people who lets us know what hospitality is. I can't thank you all enoguh for the information we received about Mayo from this board it has been very valuable. I'll postagain as soon as we meet the team and find out what their plan of action is. Everyone that we have met says Jay is lucky because he has not had any pain with his injury so far. So we are just hoping and praying that is a good sign of things to come.

Re: Mayo
Hi Rosaline, Im wishing you all the best on the appt. Or should I say Y"ALL ? The hospitality part, yes it was great for us too and I personally think they were all really taken back by our southern accent, so much they just "seemed" to keep us talking and we even got a few that said, so you all are the ones from the south, huh ? I was thinking geezzz....do we really sound that bad ??? LOL ! Keep us posted about how the appt. goes !

Good to hear things are going good. And yes they're right, he is very lucky he doesn't have the pain that sometimes comes with a BPI, I still remember the day the pain first started, about 2 weeks post accident, and it's been hell ever since, I can't think of words good enough to describe how it feels sometimes, but when I try to tell people about it I say that I can honestly say I now know what it feels like to have your arm & fingers cut off, because thats what it feels like sometimes, thankfully not all days are that bad.
