One Week Post-Op

A week ago today I had a tendon transfer. Wow, they did not tell me how sore my leg would be. It actually hurt more than my hand did for the first couple of days. I have a monster of a cast that I have to wear for another 3 weeks, then we can take a peak and see if it worked. I am anxious to see it, but also a little fearful because I have been told, "this is it, the last thing we can do, it is as good as it can get". I guess I had better come to terms real quick. Well, on the positive side, at least no more surgeries.
Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day.
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for the update. Sorry you have to lug the plaster around for a while, but it will be off soon, and I guess it's best to protect the surgery. I hope you are pleasantly surprised with the results !! Hope your leg is doing better too. Please let us know when you see things happening again. And remember.....no clothes hangers for scratching
) The best to you,
George

Dear Kathy:
I wish you a speedy recovery, hope things go great for you.
I have some questions though, how long did you wait after the nerve grafting to do the tendon transfers?? Did you have any success at all with the nerve grafting in terms of your hand, did you gain any movement at all......
I wish you the best and get well soon
Tina
